September 2002 Newsletter Not Available
Due to technical difficulties with his computer system, Mick Mikols reports that he was unable to produce the much awaited monthly Liberty Letter.

Things are back to normal now, so look for the October newsletter soon.

Update October 9: Well, we still haven't heard from Mick and this is not good. He has been on the phone with a technician from Dell Computer for 245 hours straight now and they still don't have the hard drive on Mick's laptop working yet.

June 2002 Calendar Posted
The June 2002 Liberty Hall Club Calendar has been posted. This shows all Club events as well when the Liberty Hall is available for rental. Click here to see it.

[Note: this is our first try at this and there are a few kinks to work out yet.]

Double Skunking Reported...
It's been reported that recently some members were double skunked in cribbage at the Club and while we hate to name names it was Bob McClusky, Al Baker and Mick Mikols. Reports of an attempted cover up, however, could not be substantiated.

If any of this information is incorrect please let us know at lhc@marstonsmills.org and we will gladly set the record straight.

Save The Club Time And Money!
Instead of us sending the Liberty Letter to you, view it online each month. We'll notify you via e-mail that it has been updated. For those who do receive it through regular mail, the Club spends close to 25% of your annual dues on postage, envelops, etc. With e-mail notification the cost is zero!

Let's put that money to better use ~ click here to sign-up for this option.

Lobster Bake ~ Sunday June 2
The details are here in the Liberty Letter.

Coming Soon!
The Club calendar will soon be published here. It will show all the scheduled Club events, as well as the dates and times that Liberty Hall has been rented.

Sunday, May 5, 2002 ~ River Day
Several members of the Club spent their Sunday working at River Day at the Inn At The Mills. From providing the tables and chairs to cooking to assisting with taking down the tent and cleaning up the trash, the Club had a major presence.

River Day was a tremendous success this year and only because all of those who were involved wanted it to be a success. Events like this not only bring the village together, but go a long way to educating everyone about the Marstons Mills River, a key initiative of the Club.

Liberty Hall Club has again demonstrated its commitment to community service.

Tuesday, April 23, 2002 ~ New Flagpole Raised
The new flag pole was raised at the back of the Club [on the Route 149 side of the lot]. With Peter Childs the Arborist in the cherry picker and Charlie Thifault, Al Baker, Bob McClusky and Craig Condinho doing the placement and nuts and bolts on the ground, it was up in no time! [and, with no serious injuries either!].
