Discover The Benefits Of Being A Member Of The Marstons Mills Village Association
The Association is an excellent way to address Village concerns in the Town of Barnstable. The stronger the MMVA becomes, the more local issues we can address, and the more influence we will have on a positive resolution for Marstons Mills. Recently, the MMVA has been influential in the following areas:
Three college scholarships for Marstons Mills students.
Support of the development of Marstons Mills Marketplace.
Co-sponsorship of River Day - to maintain a Marstons Mills tradition.
Action in support of the new Marstons Mills Library.
Forum to discuss the Darby property.
Burgess House restored for MMVA and other group meetings.
The annual Marstons Mills Village Day -- a family fun day.
Planting of 3500 Daffodils to beautify the village this and every Spring.
A positive reputation for being an active, participatory and influential civic association.
The Association Continues To Address Issues That Will Impact The Village In The Near Future:
Continuation of annual events such as River Day and Village Day.
Quality of Village life in the face of increasing development.
The siting of new soccer fields.
Traffic and roads, for example, the intersections at Routes 149 & 28 and at Main Street & 28.
The future of the Marstons Mills Library.
The future of the Cape Cod (Marstons Mills) airport.
We want to hear from you about these and any other issues you would like the Association to address. We need a strong and active membership helping to develop coordinated positions on issues affecting our Village.
Please complete the membership application and return it with your dues which support our monthly meetings and operating costs. A contribution to the Scholarship Fund helps support Marstons Mills' students, and a contribution to the Daffodils Fund helps continue the planting program in public places around the Village.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ann Trout (Secretary)
