A Celebration Of The Marstons Mills River

River Day 2005 ~ Another Great Day In Marstons Mills!
Despite the threatening weather [which never materialized] it was another successful River Day at the Mill Pond in Marstons Mills. An estimated 600 people enjoyed all of the activities at the William Marston House on May 15th.

In an information packed program, both parents and children learned how to protect their river and live sensibly within the Marstons Mills River watershed. And, the hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream were nice too...

We'd like to thank all of those that volunteered their time to make River Day the success it was again this year. And without the support of our local businesses who provided the tent, food, prizes, printing and their financial support, River Day would not happen. Our thanks go to them and we ask all who attended River Day to please patronize those who sponsored us [see list here]

And again this year as in past years, we'd like to acknowledge the following people who were key to making this event a success: Kris Clark, coordinator of the River Day program; Lynne Dowdall of the Cape Cod Conservation District; Donna Lawson of the Marstons Mills Village Association and Al Baker of the Liberty Hall Club. Their many hours of working behind the scenes brought us River Day.
