Subcommittee Reports
Burgess House: Bob Frazee discussed the details of the proposed construction on the Barn. We have a CPC (Preservation Committee) application, however it will need to be resubmitted at the next meeting. David Anthony can assist us with procurement if we can get funds approved. He feels we first need the funds, and then need to compile a more formal list of needs and tasks to complete the barn, and he can assist us in providing supervision to guide the job to completion. He advises we not try to include the shed in our proposal for now. Bob would like to shore it up to try to buy some time. Bob also thinks David Anthony will do a good job constructing a blue print for the project as a whole. Bob passed out copies of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards of Rehabilitation. Craig Larson passed out the invoice from McShane for work already done. Voted and passed to pay; check given to Craig for $1049.03. It was questioned if putting the house and barn on the register of historic places would be a good or bad thing overall for us. Noted that we should check with the Town before we go forward investigating this. Craig notes we should be looking for potential tenants for the barn and apartment once it is rehabbed.
